Step5: Make sure TCP is selected. Now enter the specific ports needed for your QuickBooks year version, then select Next.

Step6: Now select Allow the Connection, then Next give the rule name.

Step7:  Now Select Finish when done Repeat the steps above for the Outbound Rules.

Step8: Now try opening QuickBooks Desktop again in multi-user mode or over your network. 

THIRD STAGE: Create Firewall exceptions for QuickBooks 

Step1: Click Windows menu and open Windows Firewall.

Step2: Now select Advanced Settings and Right-click Inbound Rules 

Step3: Select here the New Rule and Select Program then press Next.

Step4: Now select This Program Path, then Browse to Navigate the file location

Step5: Select here Next and click to Allow the Connection, then Next.

Step6: If prompted, make sure all profiles are marked, then select Next.

Step7: Now give the rule a name, then select Finish.

Step8: Repeat here the steps above for the Outbound Rules.
